More Nightclubs that Rock

Sin City is the undisputed capital of the nightclub scene. Here are some of our favorites.

Privé

There are a few ways to get attention in Las Vegas: offer something no one else has, offer something everybody wants, or, play it smart, and offer something everybody already loves.

Sin City's Privé Nightclub and the Living Room does just that -- playing off the success of the The Opium Group's already-popular South Beach hotspots (including the sister Privé club), but adding some Vegas flair.

With a decor and design that's, for lack of a better phrase, out of control awesome, Privé jumped right in with the big boys of Vegas nightlife (which came as no surprise to the South Beach set).

The Bank

In a city forever upping the ante (if you'll pardon the pun) with regard to entertainment, it's no surprise that the newest offering at the Bellagio promises to be a club the likes of which Las Vegas has never seen.

From the same group that brought you the ever-popular Light Nightclub (may it rest in peace), The Bank takes nightlife extravagance to the next level. With a design that manages to spotlight a foyer, a dance floor and opulent VIP booths all at the same time, The Bank oozes luxury from every square inch.

Buzz about the club has been that, like an actual bank, the club will be, "a sanctuary for all things precious." And let's face it, in Sin City, there's nothing more precious than a good time.

Moon

Located on the 53rd floor of the Fantasy Tower, Moon creates a dramatic, surreal environment for discerning party-goers. From the color-changing, glass-tile floor to the majestic, floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unrivaled views of Sin City, every aspect of this boutique nightclub begs for attention.

A space-age theme pervades this 12,500-square-foot venue. Imagine a nightclub stationed on the moon -- all steel and glass with white and silver adornments. Cocktail servers and dancers dress in short, tight, metallic silver uniforms with black go-go boots. Lasers and space imagery fill the air and walls above the main dance floor.

Overhead, a retractable roof opens to reveal an incredible view of the desert sky and stars. When closed, the ceiling serves as a massive video screen, displaying giant images of the club captured by a series of cameras.

An outdoor balcony offers breathtaking views of the Strip and the eastern Las Vegas valley.

Designed with dark colors, fabrics and authentic artifacts from India and Tibet, the Foundation Room has an exotic, mysterious ambience. There is a fireplace in the main lounge surrounded by comfortable sofas -- a perfect place for conversation or relaxation.

The music at Studio 54 always gets the crowd moving. Early in the evening, you'll hear plenty of disco and early '80s hip-hop and dance music. Rumjungle

With Sin City's largest supply of rum stacked to the ceiling, rumjungle is no stranger to the limelight. Rumjungle is open all week, but the pretty people come out in droves on Friday and Saturday nights. On any given night, DJs provide partygoers with a fresh dose of R&B, house, hip-hop, funk, Top 40, techno and international rhythm that will make you move. Seating comes at a price, so if you're on a budget, plan on standing -- the VIP sections are reserved for nightclubbers with cash to burn. Palms Pool

Shirking responsibility has never had so many perks before — partygoers can take a dip in three separate pools, take a load off in one of 27 VIP cabanas, or just take in the view of fellow ditchers lounging in the sun. For those missing the fruity refreshment of a beverage sipped on borrowed time, the Palms Pool and Ditch Fridays offers cocktails like Morty's Bikini Remover (Bacardi Coco, Select Rum, banana liqueur, cranberry and pineapple juice) and raspberry mojitos as a replacement for the over-21 set.

Tabú

Tabú, a chic nightspot located inside the MGM Grand, bills itself as Vegas first "ultra lounge." And ultra it is. The club offers unique, sophisticated touches you won't find in either a typical Vegas lounge or anywhere else. The experience begins with Tabú's models/hostesses who provide tableside drink mixology, fine bottle service and signature cocktails. Bottles are beautifully presented in a block of carved ice, with a tray of drink garnishes to match your choice of alcohol.

A live three-piece band including drums, stand-up bass and saxophone accompanies the performances, which take place three times per night.
